Meppayur Salafi College of teacher education was established on 1995 as a professional teacher training college, dedicated to the Education of teachers. Since 1995 this college is imparting quality education to teacher trainees. College has a glorious past with rich academic tradition and excellence. The college is recognized by the Government of Kerala, affiliated to the University of Calicut and approved by the national council for Teacher Education.
